High Peak Meadows

Elka Park, NY
$110/night - Continue to Booking

Greet the morning sun from your tent as it rises above High Peak. Peaceful campsite in secluded 3 acre meadow off NY Scenic Byway perched on the banks of the Roaring Kill Stream (*swimming- fishing*). Drive-up access requires SUV or similar clearance for the dirt road and water crossings. Or park non-SUV vehicles at public trailhead and walk 400 yards down the private trail to the campsite. Surrounded by the Indianhead Wilderness peaks, you'll enjoy the cool mountain air at night and stunning views all day long. Lots of flat area to put multiple tents. Great access to the Roaring Kill Trailhead and to the Devil's Path Hiking Trail. Hike all day and then dip in the creek when you get back.
