Best Camping near Alleghany National Forest, Pennsylvania

The greatest joy one can find on camping in Alleghany National Forest is the natural beauties. Camping in the Alleghanies is the best way to explore the wonderful woods and views from the ground.

The Allegheny National Forest covers 517,000 acres in Northwest Pennsylvania in the foothills of the woodsy Appalachian mountains. Check out the Kinzua Sky Bridge in Mt. Jewett, a 300 foot tall and 2,051 foot long former railroad bridge spanning Kinzua Creek. It’s one of the top ten sky walks in the world. Neighboring the Allegheny National Forest is a cluster of state forests that have great Tentrr camping nearby, including the Susquehannock, Elk, Moshannon and Sproul.

And Pennsylvania is funny. In a good way. Not only is W.C. Fields from the Keystone State, but on your camping adventure, you could pass through towns with names like Shickshinny, Panic, Intercourse, Normalville and Jersey Shore.
