The best camping spots at Thacher State Park are in the Cotton Hill Campground. This campground offers 50 campsites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. There is also a playground, pavilion, and flush toilets. The campsites are first-come, first-served, so be sure to get there early if you want a spot! When camping at Thacher State Park, be sure to avoid the cliff edges. The cliffs are high and dangerous, and have been known to collapse. Also avoid swimming in the pools at the base of the waterfalls - they may look tempting, but they are very cold and can be dangerous.
