When camping at Max V. Shaul State Park, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, the park is located in a rural area and there are no stores or restaurants nearby. Be sure to bring enough food and supplies for your stay. Second, due to the park's location in the valley, it can be quite windy. Be sure to secure your tent or RV so it doesn't blow away! Finally, although there are bathrooms located throughout the park, they are primitive and there is no running water. Be sure to bring plenty of water for drinking, cooking, and washing. There are plenty of activities to keep campers busy at Max V. Shaul State Park. Hiking is a popular activity, with over 15 miles of trails winding through the woods and along the ridge of the hill. For those looking for a more challenging hike, the Long Path passes through the park and offers stunning views of the valley below. In addition to hiking, the park also has a playground, basketball courts, and a baseball field.
