Drive into your campsite immediately you will hear the sounds of a babbling creek, by giant rhododendrons under magnificent hemlocks and oaks--a truly natural and relaxing experience. Campers can enjoy a short hike to our private waterfall with a swimming hole or lay in a hammock next to the creek. This site is surrounded by over 400 privately owned acres of natural forests with several miles of marked trails. The campsite is adjoined by Lehigh Gorge State Park and PA State Game Lands. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended for hiking. Just minutes away there are outdoor adventures galore: white water rafting, kayaking, biking trips on a rails to trails biking path, Skirmish Paint Ball, hiking in Glen Onoko Falls and Hickory Run State Parks, and the beautiful mountaintop entertainment venue Penn's Peak, and so much more. Jim Thorpe, the historic and quaint town, is just 15 minutes from the campsite, with its many fine eateries, shops, the Lehigh Gorge Rail Road, and the Asa Packer mansion. For more photos check out #campdietrich on Instagram. Campsite maps are best viewed on desktop browsers. Your Signature campsite sleeps up to 8 people with 4 campers included in the base rate. The Queen bunk in the main tent can accommodate up to 4 campers and an on-site pop-up tent can be put up to house four additional campers. The campsite also comes with a picnic table, fire pit, and Adirondack chairs. The dining area is under a pavilion. Additionally, our property has "Checkpoint Shed" where campers at any of our campsites can borrow gear. Bedding, extra firewood, and a power station are available for a fee as extras (see below). We are very excited about sharing our amazing site with other nature enthusiasts. The sights, sounds, fragrance and solitude of the forest combined with all the outdoor activities will refresh your senses. Before finding our dream, our private park, we stayed in many private/public camp grounds, state and national parks... and never came close to the privacy and "connection" we feel here. As camp keepers, our goal is that your stay exceeds your expectations.
