A perfect spot to pitch a tent and avoid everyone else and still not have to pee in the woods or search for firewood! Even if you have nothing, we can provide everything you need for a nice, basic camping experience with a few nice amenities safe from hotels and crowds with space to be yourself and really relax. The site is a few hundred feet off a dirt road and carved into a sunny wildflower-studded niche that's just right for a quick stop in a peaceful location that's close to Saratoga, Lake George, and the Adirondacks. Well-behaved dogs allowed on leash. It is a leave no trace campsite: Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after. All cigarette butts must be disposed of properly. Please carry out all you carry in. There's LOTS of space for up to 8 campers, a small charge after 4 people. There's a decent stack of free wood ready for your campfire, and more available in our Extras for a small fee. There is a private, sheltered loo & shower house with toilet paper, an extra loo bag (bags last up two people approximately 2-3 days) and sawdust to keep it fresh. We ask you take used loo bags and deposit them in the can on site upon departure. Extras are available to enhance your experience or feed hungry campers. See below for details. Tent and sleeping bags, cooler & ice, propane gas camp stove and fuel! Any items rented/borrowed from us are to be put into the quarantine bins upon departure where they will be washed to keep things safe for all of our campers.
Do let us know before arriving if you have small humans in tow. Vicki likes to spoil them with a treat upon arrival :) Don't hesitate to call or message Ray if you need anything. We probably have what you need :) DON'T FORGET to put your fire out before retiring to your tent. Don't let your dog off-leash unless tented up with you. We love them, too, and want to keep them safe in unfamiliar territory. Please clean up after your dog. There will be a cleaning fee for dog waste left behind. PARKING is in the designated parking areas. Please Do not put your vehicle in the middle of the campsite. We're happy to help you carry anything. Please don't drive all over the field. It is a productive hay field that gets harvested 2-3 times a year, so grass length will vary. There are paths mowed for walking around without brushing tall grass to help keep you tick-free. We keep a few "cushions" of grass for you to pitch your tent upon :) . DO Empty your loo upon leaving by taking your loo bag and depositing in the garbage can. There will be a $50 per loo cleaning fee for loos left unemptied upon checkout. Don't forget to text us when you are leaving so we can freshen up the site. Don't forget to come back, and leave a happy review so others may also share in your joy,
