Overview

Nestled in the heart of the Catskill mountains sits the Mountain Pass Hideaway. This campsite makes for a perfect "jumping off point" for everything this region has to offer. The campsite is located minutes from Rt. 28 and close to great biking, hiking, swimming, shopping, Woodstock, Phoenicia, Westkill Brewery and the Catskill Seasons Inn. In fact, there is a trail directly from the camp site that leads to the Catskill Seasons Inn Bar & Restaurant! The site includes two chairs, a fire pit, a picnic table, 5 gallons of fresh local mountain spring water, a tree stand, and trails on the property. Drive up and park your car right next to the site, set up camp, and relax!

Site Guidelines

The campsite sits next to county property (other side is Catskill Seasons Inn) so please make sure you are parking on the owners property. Be respectful of the campsite. Carry in carry out. Please make sure the fire is completely out prior to leaving the site. If you choose to use the trail and head down to the Catskill Seasons Inn, please make a purchase for their generosity in allowing us to use the property (local beer, wine, cocktail, etc.)

I'm an educator, a father of one and a musician. I also love to be outside. Whether it's biking, hiking, swimming, or lounging in a hammock, I try to get out as much as possible. My family and I purchased a home in Shandaken, NY in 2018. I enjoy exploring the Catskill region and I'm an aspiring 3500 Club member.
