WARNING: WE ARE A CAMPSITE AND NOT A GLAMPSITE. Walk less than 75 yards from where you park down our beautifully wooded path to reach a lawn-like setting on the banks of the secluded and very private Wappingers Creek. Spend your days just relaxing or use this campsite as your homebase for exploring the many sites in the Hudson Valley or Connecticut's Litchfield Hills. Then come back and make a meal over the campfire or just cook up some S'mores !! Many hiking trails nearby on former railroad property turned into rail trails. Wappingers Creek is stocked every Spring for you fishermen. Recommend you bring bug spray and also shower shoes for creek wading. You will park your vehicle in our specially designated area, a short walk from the campsite. PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR SECOND TENT IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME-original tent sustained rips/tears during our last storm and manufacturer cannot replace it until later this year. Also, we are a two night minimum campsite so if you only want to stay one night you will need to book for two nights.
Please note that we don't supply sleeping bags, pillows, bed sheets, ice, firewood or electricity. You may order ice and firewood on the Tentrr reservation site and it will be waiting for you at the campsite upon your arrival. If you give us advance notice we'll even have a roaring fire waiting for you if you will be arriving after dark. We are a NO SMOKING campsite. Your dog is also welcome as long as you clean up after him or her(if we have to clean up your dog's "poop" there is a $10 charge). We recommend bug spray in the Summer. By booking this site you agree to a $25 charge if you leave the toilet with a "deposit" that has not been disposed of according to printed instructions at the campsite and requires our cleanup(each single use blue bag gets tied up and placed in the campsite garbage can). You further agree to a $5 charge if you do not dispose of your garbage per the printed guidelines in the campsite instructions(it goes in the black dumpster at the entrance to our property).
