Overview

Located near historical Gilbertsville, NY you will be able to enjoy 50 acres of peace and quiet in the beautiful Butternut Valley. Easy to get to off I-88 but worlds away from stress. Come and enjoy our abundant hiking trails, cool off in the creek complete with waterfalls, enjoy picking wild berries and apples. Watch bald eagles and hawks fly overhead while you lay in the hammock. We provide plenty of extras at the site that we do not charge for . Extras like a brand new outhouse with a complete shower ! Canopy covered dining area, grill and outdoor lighting. The village has a farmers market on Saturday. The area is plentiful with antique shops, breweries, baseball camps, museums and outdoor fun. If you just want to relax then this is your spot. You can hear the creek from your site in the morning and then go play in it in the afternoon. Build a great campfire - we provide plenty of firewood, as well as fire starters, and a hammock in the shade. This campsite is very easily accessed, and well behaved pets are welcome to join. Being in the woods refreshes you . Our campsite is sure to help you relax and enjoy life. After a busy day of your choosing , the Butternut Valley Bunkhouse will be the best place to lay your head down at night and the best place to see the sun rise. We have a freshly built outhouse and an outdoor shower. Oversized fire pit with plenty of wood to burn . We will accommodate more people with an extra tent .

Site Guidelines

Please stay above and to the right of the main driveway. You will be guided by orange reflectors down to camp. Please do not hike in our backyard As you have plenty of trails on the property. A large canopy is over the eating area for shade. A 2 sided-propane gas grill is available. One side is grated and the other side has a flat grill. Alsoa 2 burner propane stove Is available if you need it. A standard size cooler on site . Please scoop 2 cups of lime out of the bucket provided inside our outhouse when you leave . Please return you garbage to the main house in front of the garage.

Site Rules
Respect the land and tent as you would your own.
  • What you carry in, you must carry out!
  • Check campsite for trash or belongings.
  • Carefully pack up the pop-up tent (if you used it).
  • Clean out Tentrr CampBox (take your BBQ sauce!).
  • Place (empty) Tentrr Loo inside canvas tent.
  • Zip up all tent windows and doors (clasps, too).
  • Take garbage bag(s) to designated trash point (check with your Campkeeper).
  • Clean up after your dog.
  • Clean grill with brush after use.
Respect & Safety
  • Don't carve your name into anything.
  • Don't cut down trees.
  • Look out for poison ivy, poison oak and sumac.
  • Check yourself for ticks every 6 hours.
The minimum cleaning fee is $50 and will be charged for leaving a campsite a mess.
