Blackwell Wood Farm circa 1790, is located in Terra Rubra approximately 2 miles from the birthplace of Francis Scott Key, author of the National anthem. The farm is steeped in history, known for clay that was mined for one of the first brick kilns in the area, only 15 minutes to historic Gettysburg. On weekends when the cannons are fired you can hear them in the distance. The farm is surrounded by approximately 500 acres of farmland and beautiful pastures. The campsite is themed as a Western cattle camp complete with a real 1800s wagon, outdoor cooking area with wrought iron cooking supplies. Highland cattle are in a separate field within view. Sunsets are some of the best on the entire East coast !
Fencing surrounding Highland Cattle is electric, do not touch.
