IDEAL FOR A COUPLE OR SOLO RETREAT! (Two night minimum) Family owned, our land is a pristine, 50-acre working eco-ranch at the tip of the San Francisco Bay Peninsula, adjoining 1,000 acres of wild open space preserve. Only a short trip from Silicon Valley, your stay here will be a truly beautiful and private immersion into California's natural splendor. Your private campsite for two sits atop a quiet, pristine hill with stunning views of oak valleys and pastures. Enjoy a comfortable 'camping trip' without having to pack for one! A wine barrel sun shower, running water + private compostable toilet add to the many creature comforts we provide. Clean bed linens + an iced cooler do too. A propane fire pit is available during the winter when there's no fire risk. Sit back under ancient oaks and watch the sun set and the moon rise. Star gaze from your deck, listening to Great Horned Owls and far-off coyotes. Be the first to greet the day and watch golden sunlight flow over surrounding hilltops. Chill at an antique picnic table, in a kick-back seating area or comfy swinging chair. From your private hill top, experience land that is sustainably managed with wild and domestic animals, and ecosystems protected equally. In nearby Morgan Hill you'll find ample hiking, wineries, road cycling, movies, bowling, breweries, a farmers market and foodie delights. Peace of mind, on our ranch, is only thirty minutes from San Jose, just over an hour from San Francisco, and one hour from Santa Cruz. Learn more about us on Instagram: @tule_ranch Questions? Eco-Ranch Family
After world travels, we moved to California in 2005 and bought our ranch in 2015. Working as a family team, we're balancing domestic and wild ecosystems, raising Highland cattle, a free-range flock of organic laying birds and integrating many other beloved creatures. Our new Honey-Olive Orchard is creating new habitats, integrating farming and livestock. We welcome you to come experience the land we love and the pristine wilds of California.

Site Guidelines

Ours is a working family ranch. We're environmentally friendly and animal-centric. We practice regenerative land management and prioritize wise natural stewardship in all our work. Upon welcoming you, we'll guide you to your campsite and explain a few basic land safety guidelines. A few things you might find helpful to know: - A STEEP, winding quarter mile hike is required to reach the campsite. Wear comfortable, durable shoes. We can transport your supplies/luggage separately via ATV. - Pack layers and be prepared for hot days, cold nights and sometimes very windy weather. Sorry, no more than 2 adult campers allowed at our site. - WE SUPPLY: (Pls use this list not the equipment mentioned by Tentrr or Airbnb) One queen bed that sleeps two. We provide clean, sanitized sheets, comforter, throws, pillows and towels. Sun shower. Private latrine with composting toilet. Sink with running water. Propane grill. Basic cookware. Compostable tableware + utensils. Aluminum foil. Condiments (salt/pepper/oil/Sriracha). Paper towels. Cooler with frozen ice packs. Purified water + breakfast drinks. Trash/recycling/compost bins. There is no electricity at the site. - YOU BRING: Your own food + refreshments, battery/solar chargers for your tech. Lots of extra layers for cold nights! - Our friendly working dogs roam the land freely to keep predators away from livestock. You'll see and hear them doings their jobs patrolling the campsite and the land, day and night. - Sorry, no visitor dogs permitted. - Fire pit available during rainy winter months. Grill always available for cooking. - Although this is comfortable camping, it's still camping! You're likely to see insects, wild deer, hawks and eagles, diverse birds, foxes, bobcats, rangeland cattle and you'll hear coyotes at a distance.
