To visit: Catwalk National Recreation Area. A plank-board walk way which offers a glimpse into the geologic and historic foundations of southwest New Mexico. San Francisco Hot Springs. Choose one adventure courtesy of Pure Gold! Whether you're an animal lover, a nature person or a history buff, you will have an amazing opportunity to get off the grid and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Prickly Pear Harvest - Harvest & process wild prickly pear cactus fruits which makes rich purple syrup/jam!

Hike to Blackjack Cave - Get some exercise and historical knowledge on this excursion to the site of ancient Native American communities (Mimbres and Apache). Blackjack Cave was also a famous outlaw hideout!

Horseback Excursion - Meet the beautiful ranch horses in the corral with a ½ hour equine familiarization followed by a scenic trail ride along the private creek. (1 complimentary pass per reservation - additional excursions are $100 per guest)

Note: Complimentary experiences are valid for two guests per stay unless otherwise noted. Larger groups can participate but will be charged for each additional camper. Excursions that are canceled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances have no monetary value.

Site Guidelines

- This is a working ranch operation, with cattle, horses, etc. They can give you a visit, be kind to them and they will reciprocate the favor. - Fires are to be used only with *EXTREME* caution (severe drought conditions) - Pack-it-in, pack-it-out

Site Rules
Respect the land and tent as you would your own.
  • What you carry in, you must carry out!
  • Check campsite for trash or belongings.
  • Carefully pack up the pop-up tent (if you used it).
  • Clean out Tentrr CampBox (take your BBQ sauce!).
  • Place (empty) Tentrr Loo inside canvas tent.
  • Zip up all tent windows and doors (clasps, too).
  • Take garbage bag(s) to designated trash point (check with your Campkeeper).
  • Clean up after your pet.
  • Clean grill with brush after use.
Respect & Safety
  • Don't carve your name into anything.
  • Don't cut down trees.
  • Look out for poison ivy, poison oak and sumac.
  • Check yourself for ticks every 6 hours.
The minimum cleaning fee is $50 and will be charged for leaving a campsite a mess.
