From meadows to forests and picturesque farms to lakes and ponds—camping in CT is loved for its fresh air and its diverse beauty. Equipped with our kit and an adventurous heart, you’re sure to make life-long memories at any of the following locales!

1) Meadow Ridge Farm Meadow

Meadow Ridge Farm Meadow is one of our signature sites that accommodates up to 14 campers via another nearby site called Meadow Ridge Farm Woods. The canvas tent contains a double queen-size bunk bed and, of course, the wood stove.

This site is located on a stunning farm that offers fresh eggs, incredible tasting gut-healthy raw milk, as well as chocolates and red wine from nearby businesses and vineyards. This area is visited for its seclusion (a mile away from anything) and surrounding area which offers award winning restaurants, hikes that deserve awards, wineries, distilleries, and a farmers market.

2) The Granite Meadow

Where do we begin with Granite Meadow? This is a backcountry site located on 62 acres of forest, streams, ponds, farm animals, and ampleviews of the night sky. Come stay here if you’re feeling on the wild side and wish to experience some kayaking or learn to work on a sustainable farm. The Tysons are excellent farmers who began their farm in 2017 to be with nature and closer to their own food that they produce themselves! They offer the choice of kayak rentals, farm tours, and farm fresh breakfasts.

Note that the following amenities are included with the price of camping: 5 gallons of potable water with access to refill, a campfire grate, campfire ring, solar shower, and toilet bucket with bags.

3) Glacial Erratic at Moore Brook

Glacial Erratic at Moore Brook is a Tentrr signature site (canvas tent, queen-sized bunk bed, wood stove, and more) in a convenient, private camping spot located on the Appalachian Trail. This camping in CT offers access to a swimming hole, nearby hiking, plenty of lakes for kayaking and relaxation, and the nearby town of Salisbury for access to shopping.

4) Flirtation Farms Backcountry Site

Another backcountry site, Filtration Farms contains very spacious sites for experiencing barebones camping on 17 diverse acres. This place contains wetlands, lawns, fields, woods, and pastures! Campers prefer this spot for its several nearby hiking trails and nature preserves. There’s also easy access to Hopkins Vineyard and Lake Waramaug. Wildlife in the area includes deer, turtles, frogs, and blue herons.

5) Meadow Ridge Farm Woods

Well end with one last Tentrr signature site: Meadow Ridge Farm Woods. This is the site that’s walking distance from our previous mention, Meadow Ridge Farm Meadow. With our full Tentrr kit, you can enjoy glamping among these woods, popular for their nestled-in vibes and close access to White Memorial Foundation located 4 miles away. White Memorial Foundation is an outstanding nature preserve hosting 40 miles of hiking trails. The nearby town of Litchfield offers shops, restaurants, and historical tours.
